How can I start trading stocks at Lanka Securities?
First, you need to open a Central Depository System (CDS) account with Lanka Securities. Once the account is successfully opened, you can place trading orders through your investment advisor, or directly place orders using the online trading platform provided by Lanka Securities.
How can I deposit funds into my trading account?
After receiving your CDS account confirmation, you can deposit funds to the Bank of Ceylon (BOC) Corporate Branch. The account number is 618. Please be sure to indicate your account number on the deposit slip and fax a copy of the deposit slip to +94-11-4706767.
What are the trading hours of the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE)?
The exchange's continuous trading hours are Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Additionally, there is an opening auction call session from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM for order entry and cancellation, but no trades are executed during this period.
How will I receive my stock dividends or cash entitlements?
Depending on the bank account information you provided to the CDS, dividends will be directly remitted to your bank account or sent by post to your registered address. If you need to change your dividend instruction information, you must submit a written application.
How do I access the A-Trad online trading platform?
You can log in via the A-Trad platform using the personal username and password provided by your broker. Lanka Securities is listed as an enrolled broker on the A-Trad system.
